I painted "Cromartie Cardinal" for a very dear friend. I met my English friend Mo in (of all places) Wal Mart a couple of years ago. We hit it off quite immediately! She knits and so do I . She has been instrumental in helping our Prayer Shawl Ministry at my church. Mo can knit anything and can follow a pattern easily, all I can do is knit the same thing over and over again. "Cromartie Cardinal" was painted from a photograph that she took in her garden during our beautiful winter snow last year. She will be sending it to a relative in England.
