"Buttercup" swims around in the ocean looking elegant and beautiful.  She doesn't know about diseases, earthquakes and politics (that's why she looks so young and pretty).
A print of this oil painting is on display at Smellie Bloomers, go by and check it out.  A variety of print sizes are available.  Can't you picture this beautiful mermaid in your home?  Comments or questions may come to me at kbunn@ec.rr.com

A still life with some of my favorite subject matter.  This was created while staying at Oak Island for a few days last summer.  I especially enjoyed painting the surprises in the wine glasses, look closely and you might see something that belongs in water, but not in wine.

A local business owner asked me to create a painting of his restaurant, Hamburger Paradise.  I really enjoyed painting the red corvette as well as the building.  This painting is one of my first architectural style paintings.  I have truly enjoyed the wide variety of subject matter that I painted last year....portraits, dogs, dragonflies, mermaids, buildings, still-lifes, sea life, lakescapes, seascapes, landscapes and flowers, to name a few.  Each subject and collector speaks to me differently and I enjoy the challenge of digging way down into my soul to capture just the right look or moment with my paint brush or palette knife. I look forward to additional painting challenges in 2010.

This is a recent commission piece created especially for a mother of four daughters.  She has a busy life, but always puts her kids first.  I chose the title "Silver Linings" because at the end of her long hard day, she lights up when she sees her children.  They are her "Silver Linings".
This piece is done loosely with a huge brush and palette knife.  I added silver leaf to help achieve movement.
